President’s Secretary of State Mohammad Shakeel Malik has informed Prime Minister’s Secretary of president’s decision
ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has approved the appeal of Rai Nasir Ali Khan, a senior Bureaucrat and a Grade 21 officer of the Economist Group and Joint Chief Economist, ending his sentence and acquitting him of all charges.
President’s Secretary of State Mohammad Shakeel Malik has informed the Prime Minister’s Secretary of the president’s decision.
Rai Nasir Ali Khan was given a minor sentence (Censure) on November 27, 2023 with the approval of the prime minister and an annual promotion was withheld.
The president wrote in the verdict that the allegations made against the officer were not proved in the facts of the case, so the president approved the appeal of Rai Nasir Ali Khan and acquitted him of all charges and the disciplinary procedure against him under the Civil Servants Rules 2020 is closed.
