Four more witnesses record statements in GHQ attack case
Court calls for arguments on January 25 on acquittal applications of founder PTI leader Sheerin Mazari and other accused
RAWALPINDI: The hearing of May 9 GHQ attack case was conducted by Judge Amjad Ali Shah of the Anti-Terrorism Court, Rawalpindi, at Adiala jail, here on Wednesday.
Imran Khan was presented in the courtroom while other accused also appeared. Statements of four more prosecution witnesses were recorded in the May 9 GHQ attack case.
Statements of ASI Shahzad, Head Constable Imran Akhtar and Constables Zubair Siddiqui and Anwar were recorded in the witness box.
A total of nine witnesses have been recorded so far in the case. The court called for arguments on January 25 on the acquittal applications of founder PTI leader Sheerin Mazari and other accused. Prosecutor Zaheer Shah raised objections to Mashaal Yousafzai’s power of attorney, as the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Bar Association had suspended her licence.
The court issued a show-cause notice to Mashaal Yousafzai for submitting a power of attorney despite cancellation of her licence. The court adjourned the hearing till January 25.
