Danyal clinches Adria U17 Badminton title

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Danyal Ali clinched the U17 singles title in the Adria International Badminton Tournament, which concluded in Croatia on Sunday.
Danyal overpowered Fran Pipunic of Croatia by 21/10, 21/10 in quarter-finals before beating Luka Grubic of Croatia by 21/10, 21/15 to secure a place in the summit clash of the event.
In the final, he thrashed Thomas Abraham of Czech Republic in straight sets by 21/13, 21/10 to annex the title to his name.
