Sinful salaries

The National Assembly Standing Committee on Rules of Procedures and Privileges took hardly a day to approve the massive raise of 400 percent in salaries and perks that the parliamentarians had given themselves.

A couple of questions are necessary to be answered for the justification of this unprecedented raise: is it a sin if the salaries of government employees and pensions of pensioners are also raised by 400 percent? Is the 400 percent raise ethically and morally justified? Is this 400 percent raise going to be audited by the auditor general of Pakistan?
