Floodlights to be installed at Oval Academy Ground

KARACHI: The installation work of the floodlights at the Oval Academy Cricket Ground, situated inside the National Bank Stadium has started and four towers will be installed.

The installation of floodlights at Oval cricket ground is the part of the ongoing rehabilitation and development work of NBP Cricket Stadium. The Oval Cricket Ground is located at just the entrance of the National Cricket Stadium’s front gate where at left side of the Oval Cricket ground and the right side of Hanif Muhammad High Performance Center are situated.

First-class cricket matches, PCB Under-19, and other domestic matches are played here regularly. These days president’s Trophy Grade-1 is also being played here. Floodlights are being installed for the practice sessions and practice matches under the floodlights among the PSL participating teams and reduce the burden of main NBP National Cricket stadium’s floodlights ground. The National Cricket Stadium cannot alone facilitate all the teams at a time when PSL matches would be organised here. Besides ODI matches of foreign teams touring Pakistan.
