Lightning kills two people in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Two people were killed when windstorm coupled with lightning hit the city and suburbs on Friday night.
Surraya Bibi, a resident of Chak 82/GB, and Falak Sher of Fish Farm on Satiana Road were killed when lightning fell on them. The windstorm uprooted dozens of trees and damaged several billboards.
THREE KILLED ON ROAD: Three people were killed while two others injured in different road accidents here.
Muhammad Yasin, a resident of Sargodha, and Muhammad Khan of Chiniot were seriously injured in road accidents. They were shifted to the Allied Hospital where they succumbed to injuries.
Meanwhile, Ghulam Rasool of Jaranwala Road was injured when his motorcycle collided with a rickshaw.
Nighat of Narwala Road was critically injured when a speeding car hit her. The injured people were shifted to the Civil Hospital. A rickshaw driver, Zulfiqar Awan, of D-Type Colony was killed when a car hit his rickshaw at Chowk Railway Station.

Talking to newsmen, Shakeel Ahmad said that some people abducted his father from his house. He accused police of not making efforts for recovery of his father.
