LAHORE: Secretary Youth Affairs and Sports Punjab Muzaffar Khan Sial Wednesday said the constitution of Sports Board Punjab is being made more effective in a bid to promote sports culture across the province.
Presided over a meeting to review the constitution of the Sports Board at Punjab Stadium, Sial said Sports Medicine Clinic, Doping Centre, Sports Laboratory and other relevant facilities would be established in Nishtar Park Sports Complex.
He said divisional, district and tehsil sports committees were being reviewed to enhance their efficacy. The secretary said the quality of training and coaching will be improved by adopting modern and professional methods and all necessary steps would be taken to improve facilities for players.
He said best transport and accommodation arrangements would be made for all participating players and officials in Inter-Division phase of Khelta Punjab Games.
He said tournament director, assistant director and organising secretary will be appointed and 14 administrative committees will be constituted to hold Inter-Division phase of Khelta Punjab Games in a befitting manner.
Other decisions regarding event competitions, accommodation of players, squads of different divisions were also taken during the meeting.
DG Sports and Youth Affairs Punjab Khizar Afzaal Ch, Director Admin Dr M Kaleem, Chief Sports Consultant M Hafeez Bhatti and other officials also attended the meeting.
