IIU, Saudi varsity sign MoU on psychology
Islamabad: The Department of Psychology International Islamic University,
Islamabad, Pakistan and
Department of Psychology College of Social Sciences
Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for
cooperation in which faculties of both institutions
will share experiences in the field of Psychology for excellence.
This was agreed between the both institutions in the spirit of international friendship and co-operation during the recent visit of Dr. Sulaiman Adbullah Aba Al-Khail, Rector Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to IIUI on the occasion of 10th IIUI Convocation.
Dr. Sulaiman Adbullah Aba Al-Khail, and Dr Ahmed Yousif Al-Daraweesh, President IIUI singed on MoU on behalf of their universities. On the occasion, Dr. Muhammad Tahir Khalily, Chairman Department of Psychology, was also present on signing ceremony.
According to the MoU, the co-operation between the institutes shall initially be
carried out through joint
international conferences
on Psychology and mental health and launch joint research activities and publications.
The MoU further states that joint activities for the establishment of Clinical Psychology Programme would be started and the experts from both the universities would participate as external examiners for research thesis. The launching of joint faculty and students exchange programme is also part of MoU.
