LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Bilal Siddique Kamyana Tuesday ordered comprehensive security plans for upcoming events.
Presiding over a performance review meeting of Sadr and Iqbal Town divisions for the last month at his office, the CCPO ordered formation of security measures for Champions Trophy, Kashmir Day, Horse & Cattle Show and Jashan-e-Baharan. He also ordered conducting daily search and combing operations in different areas during cricket matches.
The CCPO asked the SSP (Operations) to intensify the crackdown on the beggar mafia. He also called for decoy operations in hotspots to prevent motorcycle thefts and stressed the need to leverage Anti-Vehicle Lifting Staff (AVLS) to combat such incidents effectively.
He ordered installation of security barriers and CCTV cameras in residential areas with community support and urged SHOs to focus on eradicating drug-related crimes in their areas. He instructed the use of Hotel-Eye software to apprehend wanted criminals and highlighted the need for timely resolution of complaints related to women, differently-abled individuals and religious minorities.
DIG (Investigation) Zeeshan Asghar, DIG (Operations) Faisal Kamran, SSP (Investigation) Muhammad Naveed, SSP (Admin) Atif Nazir, SSP (Operations) Tassawar Iqbal, SPs, ASPs, circle officers, SHOs and investigation in charges from Iqbal Town and Saddar Divisions also attended the meeting.
