Moot on ‘Emerging trends in Physics’ starts at LCWU

LAHORE:The 4th international conference on 'Emerging trends in Physics' started at Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) here on Tuesday.

The conference - a joint venture of the Faculty of Science and Technology, LCWU with the Department of Physics at COMSATS, Lahore, brought together distinguished physicists, researchers, and scholars from across the globe to discuss cutting-edge developments in the field of physics. Prof Dr Safia Anjum, Conference Chair and Chairperson of the Physics Department at LCWU, introduced the theme and the objectives of the conference. Chief Guest Prof Dr Manzoor Ikram from Islamabad addressed the session and talked about how physics can play a role in solving global challenges.

He stressed that without research and development, innovation could not be generated. Prof Dr Pawel Kowalczyk from the University of Poland presented an informative talk. The subsequent sessions featured great names like Prof Dr Hakan Ates of Ghazi University, Turkey, and Dr M Shahbaz Anwar of the University of Cambridge, UK, who enlightened the audience on topics of thin films, nanoparticles, and emerging technologies.

Schedule for admission forms submission

Punjab University (PU) Examination Department has issued the schedule for submission of admission forms for late college candidates of LLB (3-years) Part-II, III and LLB (5-years) Part-I, II, III, IV and V supplementary examinations 2024.

According to details, the last date for receipt of online admission forms for the exams with single fee is January 28, 2025. Candidates were informed that admission forms would be submitted online only and no admission form would be received by hand or by post. Details are available at www.pu.edu.pk.

Meanwhile, Punjab University (PU) Examinations Department has extended the last date for receipt of admission forms and fee for regular, late college, private, improve division, additional subjects and special categories candidates of Associate Degree Arts/Science/Commerce Part-I and II annual examination 2025. According to details, now the last date of submission of admission forms for the exams with single fee is 31-01-2025. Details are available at www.pu.edu.pk.
