NCA hosts book launch
LAHORE:The National College of Arts (NCA) hosted the book launch and film screening of renowned author, filmmaker, and artist Mumtaz Hussain here on Tuesday.
The event took place at the Shakir Ali Auditorium under the patronage of NCA’s Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Murtaza Jafri. The programme began with an introduction to Mumtaz Hussain’s latest book, which comprises 14 short stories. These stories delve into social and political issues, offering a unique narrative that navigates the space between reality and abstraction.
The collection was praised for its ability to take readers on an engaging and thought-provoking journey. Following the book launch, the screening of Mumtaz Hussain’s award-winning feature film act=(love)2 captivated the audience. The film has garnered acclaim at various international film festivals, including the Locarno International Film Festival, Jaipur International Film Festival, and Nevada Film Festival.
