Islamabad : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two suspects involved in human trafficking and visa fraud as part of a nationwide crackdown under the directives of Director General FIA Ahmad Ishaq Jahangir. The suspects, identified as Muhammad Mudhah Haider and Sahibzada Asif, were apprehended in separate operations conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad.

Muhammad Mudhah Haider, who had defrauded a citizen of Rs3 million by falsely promising employment in Malaysia, was arrested in Islamabad.

Meanwhile, Sahibzada Asif was detained at Karachi Airport for swindling multiple victims of Rs1.173 million under the guise of securing them jobs in Canada.

Both suspects had gone into hiding after collecting significant sums from their victims. FIA officials confirmed that investigations have commenced, and raids are underway to track down other accomplices involved in these fraudulent activities. Speaking on the operations, the Director of FIA Islamabad Zone outlined the agency’s comprehensive approach to tackling human trafficking.

“Special raid teams have been formed, and all available resources are being utilized to apprehend individuals exploiting innocent people. Intelligence-based operations are ongoing, and solid evidence will ensure the suspects face legal consequences,” the Director stated.

The crackdown is part of an intensified effort to curb human trafficking and protect citizens from falling prey to such schemes. The arrests underscore FIA's commitment to holding offenders accountable and ensuring justice for the victims.
