KARACHI: The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) has teamed up with Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) to streamline fee payments through a cutting-edge aggregation model powered by 1LINK technology.

The initiative enables students to pay their fees through NBP’s Digital App or any bank across Pakistan, offering convenience and accessibility. Acting as the master collector, NBP’s system ensures real-time financial reporting, enhancing transparency and efficiency for LCWU.

“This collaboration reflects NBP’s commitment to advancing digital solutions in Pakistan’s education sector,” said Farhan Durrani, senior vice president of digital solutions at NBP. Other key NBP officials, including Regional Head for Lahore East Tanveer Sheikh and Branch Manager for Jail Road Rashid Anwar Alvi were present at the agreement ceremony. LCWU’s Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shagufta Naz lauded the partnership as a significant milestone in the university’s digital transformation journey.

The system enables seamless fee payments without additional charges and introduces an advanced reporting mechanism, bolstering operational efficiency and financial transparency.

NBP Digital App users can easily make payments via the app. They have to log in to the NBP Digital Mobile Banking App; navigate to ‘Bill Payments’ and select ‘1Bill’; and enter the ‘1Bill ID’, verify details and confirm the payment.

New customers can open a digital account with NBP in four simple steps: select ‘Open Account’ on the app’s login screen; enter mobile number, email and personal details; upload scanned copies of CNIC, signatures and proof of income; and receive a tracking ID upon completing the process.
