Subsidized items available at Ramazan Bazaars: minister

OKARA: Punjab Irrigation Minister Mian Yawar Zaman Friday said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had provided subsidized household items at Ramazan Bazaars to facilitate consumers.
During his visit to Ramazan Bazaars established at Okara, Renala Khurd and Depalpur, the minister said vigilant relevant staff has been tasked to maintain quality of things present in Ramazan Bazaars. The minister checked rate lists displayed at every stall. District Coordination Officer Sucrat Aman Rana, EDO (Agriculture) Dr Sher Muhammad Sherawat and other district staff was also present. However, visitors demanded the administration raise quantity of sugar from 2kg to 4kg to be sold to the customers.

OKARA: Sahiwal Division Commissioner Babar Hayat Tarrar Friday visited Ramazan Bazaars established in district Okara and checked quality of things that are being sold in the bazaars.
On the occasion, the Commissioner issued directions to improve monitoring system further.
DCO Sucrat Aman Rana, AC Tahir Amin and other district heads of different departments were also with the commissioner. He checked quality of fruit, dates, edibles, drinks, meat, pulses, moisture in flour, and weight of sugar and other saleable things and insisted upon unhampered supply of standardized articles in the RBs. The commissioner directed the subordinate staff to be vigilant against any violation of people’s benefit.
