LAHORE: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume flights to Paris after nearly four and a half years, with the first flight scheduled to depart today (Friday).
It is learnt Defence Minister Khawaja Asif will see off the passengers.
The PIA will operate two weekly direct flights to Paris, according to a PIA spokesperson. The inaugural flight will depart from Islamabad at 12:10pm. The booking for the first and second flight to and from Paris is fully reserved, which is a highly encouraging sign. The airline has made special arrangements for in-flight entertainment through an intranet wireless system. Passengers can enjoy entertainment services, using their mobile phones, tablets or laptops.
“We are optimistic about achieving even better loads in the future based on the positive response from passengers,” the spokesperson said. The Paris flights fulfill a longstanding demand of Pakistanis residing in France and Pakistan. Additionally, the PIA is offering cost-effective ticket prices along with the convenience of saving time for travelers.
