ISLAMABAD: Rear Admiral Muhammad Saleem has been promoted to the rank of Vice Admiral with immediate effect.
Currently, the Admiral is serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Training & Personnel) at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.
Muhammad Saleem has also served as Director Staff at the National Defence University, Islamabad and as the Naval Attaché of Pakistan in India. He also performed duties as Director General of the National Intelligence Academy, Islamabad.
Vice Admiral Muhammad Saleem was commissioned into the Operations Branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1991. He is a graduate of the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore and the National Defence University, Islamabad.
He has also completed an MPhil in Public Policy from the National Defence University and the International Electronic Warfare Manager Course in the UK. The Admiral has an illustrious career with vast experience in Command and Staff appointments. In recognition of his meritorious service, the Admiral was awarded the Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Military).
