U19 women team to leave for Malaysia today

KARACHI: The nine-day camp for the Under-19 women’s team to prepare for the second edition of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup concluded here Thursday at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre.

The team will depart for Malaysia today (Friday). The 15-member squad will be led by Wicketkeeper-batter Komal Khan, while Zoofishan Ayyaz will be vice-captain of the team. The 16-team mega event for Women’s U19 players will begin on January 18 and conclude on February 2.

Squad: Komal Khan (captain/wicket-keeper) (Lahore), Zoofishan Ayyaz (vice-captain) (Wah Cantt), Aleesa Mukhtiar (Muzaffargarh), Areesha Ansari (Kasur), Fatima Khan (Lahore), Haniah Ahmer (Karachi), Maham Anees (Islamabad), Mahnoor Zeb (Mardan), Memoona Khalid (Lahore), Minahil (Faisalabad), Quratulain (Sialkot), Ravail Farhan (Lahore), Shahar Bano (Lodhran), Tayyaba Imdad (Abbottabad) and Wasifa Hussain (Karachi). Pakistan’s fixtures: vs USA on January 18; vs England on 20th; vs Ireland on 22nd.
