LAHORE: Lahore Qalandars have announced the appointment of legendary English fast bowler Darren Gough as their Head Coach for the upcoming HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.
Gough, a celebrated figure in cricket, returns to the franchise following his successful stint as Head Coach during the inaugural Global Super League last year. Under Gough’s leadership in the Global Super League, Lahore Qalandars showcased remarkable performances, advancing to the semi-finals. His return is expected to bolster the team’s strategy and execution as they aim for a championship-winning campaign in PSL 10.
At 54, Darren Gough boasts an illustrious cricketing career, complemented by his expertise as a coach and administrator. Representing England from 1994 to 2006, Gough became the country’s leading ODI wicket-taker and ranked among the top bowlers across all formats. Post-retirement, he transitioned to media as a cricket commentator before taking on roles in coaching and administration, including serving as England’s bowling consultant in 2020 and as Managing Director of Cricket at Yorkshire.
