KARACHI: Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) General Secretary Amiruddin Ansari Thursday announced 16-member disabled cricket team to feature in the Physical Disability Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled to be held in Colombo (Sri Lanka) from January 12 to 21.
The team departed for Sri Lanka Thursday night. Ansari was speaking at the Moin Khan Cricket Academy in connection with Pakistan team’s participation in the PD Champions Trophy. The selection was done after players took part in the training and fitness camp supervised by Head Coach Sabih Azhar at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA).
Ansari said that seven players were retained from the team of Physical Disability Series 2019 while nine new talented players have also been selected including Abdullah Ijaz (captain), Muhammad Arsalan, Saifullah, Matloob Qureshi, Huzaifa Khan, Muhammad Noman, Shahid Watto, Muhammad Shahzad, Ghulam Muhammad, Hamza Hameed, Abdul Khaliq, Zubair Saleem, Mominullah, Abdul Basit, Hammad Shoukat and Waqif Shah.
