ISLAMABAD: The total number of civil servants in the federal government is 590,585, out of which the number of employees from grade 1 to 16 is 563,574, while the number of officers from grade 17 to 22 is 27,011.
According to the report compiled by the Pakistan Public Administration Research Center, the number of employees from grade 1 to 16 in the Federal Secretariat is 11,063 while the number of officers from grade 17 to 22 is 2,440. The number of employees in the attached departments (except civil armed forces) from grade 1 to 16 is 213,378, while the number of officers from grade 17 to 22 is 19,162. The total number is 232540.
The number of civil and mid-service personnel from grade 1 to 16 is 227,391, while the number of officers from grade 17 to 22 is 2,218. The total number is 229609. The number of employees in the subordinate offices from grade 1 to 16 is 1,44,654 while the number of officers from grade 17 to 22 is 1,523. The number of employees in the grade 1 to 16 of the constitutional bodies is 7088 while the number of officers in the grade 17 to 22 is 1668. The total number of employees is 8756. The number of female employees is 30190. Out of these, 6,715 are women officers of grade 17 to 22.
The number of officers belonging to professional service groups appearing for the SSK examination is 6012. 2009 disabled employees are also performing duties.
