Seven cops suspended over ‘corruption, negligence’

The Sindh police chief has taken strict action against alleged corruption and negligence in the Driving Licence Branch in Saudabad. Seven police officials ranking from head constable to inspector have been suspended and closed to B Company, Police Headquarters, Garden, with immediate effect.
The suspended officials are Inspector Ashraf Ali Soomro, Inspector Saeed Shah, Sub-Inspector Siddique Memon, ASI Pannah, ASI Shahid Ali, Head Constable Shahzad Gul and Senior Clerk Asif Ali.
According to an order issued by the police chief, all suspended officials have been directed to report to B Company at the Police Headquarters, and during the period of suspension, they would draw pay and allowances as admissible under the rules.
