FDA One Window Counter provided relief to 2,888 applicants in 2024
FAISALABAD: The FDA One Window Counter provided relief to total 2,888 applicants over the past year with 44 applications still under process.
This was stated by FDA Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry during a performance review of the One Window Counter. In 2024, the Estate Management Wing addressed 1,970 applications, he added. Additionally, 833 applications were handled by Town Planning Wing One, 105 by Town Planning Wing Two, and 80 by the Katchi Abadi Wing, he said, adding that the services provided, included property transfers, inheritance transfers, town planning reports, completion certificates, various NOCs, ownership certificates, building plan approvals, and the approval of private housing schemes.
UNIVERSITY CONVOCATION: Registration for the 5th Convocation 2025 of the Government College Women University Faisalabad (GCWUF) is now open and is tentatively scheduled to take place in January.
Graduating students from the following sessions are eligible to participate: PhD degree holders from sessions 2017-2020 and 2020-2023, MS/MPhil graduates from sessions 2022-2024, ADP/BEd (1.5) graduates from sessions 2022-2024 and BS graduates from sessions 2020-2024. The students, who have fulfilled all degree requirements by December 20, 2024, are required to confirm their participation by completing the online registration form available on the university website and depositing a registration fee of Rs 3,000. The deadline for registration is January 13, 2025. The rehearsal and convocation dates will be announced later. Fee submissions should be made to UBL Bank, Account No 267684485, Branch Code 1365. The students are advised to regularly check the university website for updates regarding the convocation.
PFA SEALS FACTORY: The Punjab Food Authority conducted a raid on a facility at Partab Nagar that was producing gram flour (Besan) using corn residues. The operation resulted in the seizure of 1,000 kilograms of corn flour, 500 kilograms of corn residues, 500 kilograms of pulses, 250 kilograms of adulterated gram flour, and related machinery. The production unit was sealed and one suspect was arrested with a case registered against him. According to a PFA spokesperson, the facility had poor hygiene conditions and was infested with pests, lacked medical records for employees, and was operating without a license. Samples of the gram flour and corn were sent to a laboratory for detailed analysis.
