Rawalpindi:The state-of-the-art Police Khidmat Markaz at Liaquat Bagh, along with 12 other centres functioning across Rawalpindi, provided services to 176,337 citizens in 2024, achieving 100 per cent positive feedback from users.
These centres, established under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and IG Punjab, aim to ensure convenient and efficient service delivery for the public. Among the facilities provided, 61,704 citizens obtained police character certificates, while 60,614 used the general police verification service.
Driving license-related services were also in high demand, with 6,442 new licenses issued, 9,720 learner licenses provided, and 8,932 learner licenses renewed. Additionally, 177 duplicate licenses and 355 international driving licenses were issued, while 96 licenses were renewed for individuals from other districts.
The centres also facilitated the issuance of 1,600 copies of First Information Reports (FIRs) and received 745 missing person reports. Furthermore, 633 individuals completed tenancy and employee registrations. CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani highlighted that the Khidmat Marakiz are designed to deliver the best services in line with the provincial leadership's vision, ensuring convenience for citizens and complementing the services available at police stations.
These centres have established themselves as a model of efficient service delivery, fostering a stronger connection between law enforcement and the public while making essential services more accessible across Rawalpindi.
