LAHORE: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Balochistan Board of Investment and Trade (BBoIT) have announced plans to jointly organise the highly anticipated Balochistan Summit 2025.

Scheduled for January 27-28 in Islamabad, the summit aims to highlight and promote diverse business and investment opportunities in Balochistan, focusing on industrialisation, trade growth and attracting investments.

The announcement was made by FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh and Vice President Zaki Aijaz during a seminar titled ‘Unlocking Business and Investment Opportunities in Balochistan’, held at the FPCCI Regional Office in Lahore. The seminar also featured insightful presentations by Vice Chairman of BBoIT Bilal Khan Kakar and CEO of BBoIT Abdul Kabir Zarkon, who outlined the immense investment potential of the province.

The summit is expected to foster international cooperation, strengthen economic ties and position Balochistan as an ideal investment destination. Addressing concerns about security, officials assured that local investors would receive the same level of protection as foreign investors, thereby encouraging confidence in the region’s stability.

Zaki Aijaz emphasised the need to establish a Bank of Balochistan and improve law and order to attract both domestic and international investors. He urged the government to provide special attention to Balochistan, similar to the support extended to other provinces, to drive economic growth and unlock the province’s untapped potential.

He also called on the private sector to seize the abundant opportunities available in Balochistan, which remains largely underexplored despite its vast natural and economic resources. Prominent figures at the seminar, including Chairperson of the FPCCI Policy Advisory Board Mian Zahid Hussain, Wali Muhammad Khan of the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and President of the Dadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Abdul Haq Jatoi, shared their optimism about Balochistan’s promising future in business and investment.
