BSEK issues schedule for matric students’ exam forms

The Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) on Monday released the schedule for the submission of online annual examination forms for Class-X, 2025.

Students could submit their forms online without incurring any late fees from January 9 to January 30, 2025. The announcement from the BSEK clarified that the schedule pertains to the submission of online annual examination forms for Class 10 Science and General Group Regular students for the year 2025.

Zaheeruddin Bhutto further explained that schools affiliated with the board coukd access the online form submission portal at http://Portal.bsek.edu.pk. Upon visiting the portal, schools would be prompted to enter a username and password. The username would correspond to the school code, and users must enter their existing password to access the form. The forms must be filled out according to the instructions provided on the portal.

Schools under government municipalities, municipal corporations, and the Labour Department could also submit the forms online without incurring any fees, following the same schedule. After downloading the fee voucher from the portal, the form fees could be submitted at various branches of the National Bank of Pakistan. A list of these bank branches had been uploaded on the official website.

In addition, the BSEK had outlined a fee schedule for late form submissions. If the forms were submitted after the initial deadline of January 30, 2025, a late fee of Rs 200 would apply from January 31 to February 3, Rs 500 from February 4 to February 10, Rs 800 from February 11 to February 17, Rs 1,200 from February 18 to February 24, Rs 1,500 from February 25 to March 3, Rs 1,800 from March 4 to March 10, and Rs 2,500 after the final deadline.

Additionally, private students, or those wishing to appear for the 9th grade examination in 2024, who failed in previous years, need to improve their grades, or wish to take additional papers or other board exams in 2025, could obtain the examination form from the National Bank of Pakistan, Askari Commercial Bank, United Bank Limited, or the BSEK office booth. The form must then be verified by the relevant section before being submitted to the designated banks as per the provided schedule.
