LAHORE:The Progressive Students Collective (PSC) has threatened a protest outside Government College University (GCU), Lahore, on Tuesday (today) if the recent notification banning two student leaders from campus is not withdrawn.
Strongly condemning the ban, the student organisation took to social media and alleged that on December 16, GCU banned the entry of Progressive Students Collective spokesperson Ali Abdullah Khan and The Students Herald editor-in-chief Eqbal Khan without prior notice.
The decision was made on December 18, and the students were informed just a day before their exams. “Preventing students from appearing in their exams not only jeopardizes their academic future but also exposes the administration’s utter disregard for education as a fundamental right,” the PSC observed in one of its social media posts.
The PSC has condemned this action as unfair and has demanded the immediate withdrawal of the notification. They have threatened to stage a sit-in if their fellows were not allowed to sit in exams.
