Camp for disabled cricketers in full swing

KARACHI: The training camp for the Pakistan physically disabled (PD) cricket team is in full swing at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy in Gulberg.

The camp is being organised for the preparation of PD Champions Trophy 2025 scheduled to start in Colombo, Sri Lanka, from January 12. The team will leave for Colombo on January 9 for to participate in the PD Champions Trophy 2025.

Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA) President Imran Balwani along with Head Coach Sabih Azhar and General Secretary PPDCA Amiruddin Ansari visited the camp and met the national PD cricketers and reviewed the fielding, bowling and batting practice sessions of the players.

On the occasion, the president said that the team is talented, and hoped that the national team will return home after winning the Champions Trophy. He added that the Champions Trophy will open new avenues for cricketers at the global level and the PPDCA has many plans for the future cricket of PD cricket team. Meanwhile, physical training of the players was also conducted at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy.
