KARACHI: Olympian XI beat International XI 4-3 after a nail-biting contest in an exhibition hockey match here at Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium on the rest day (Monday) of the ongoing 68th DHA Karachi National Senior Hockey Championship.
Both the teams comprised stars of yesteryears. Renowned center forward of his time Arif Bhopali and forward Irfan Senior netted two goals each for the Olympian XI. While Sarfraz, Baber and Mujahid scored one goal each for International XI.
PHF Secretary General Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali was special guest of the match. He was accompanied by Punjab Hockey Association (PHA) President Olympian Muhammad Asif Bajwa. Before the match, the special guest was introduced to the players. A large number of hockey fans also witnessed the match.
