This letter refers to the news report ‘UN official calls on medical professionals worldwide to suspend ties to Israel’ (January 3, 2025). Unfortunately, there seems to be no end to the suffering of Palestinians at the hands of Israelis because the top state officials and parliaments of the leading countries of the West have been neutralised by pro-Israel lobbies and, consequently, their governments take orders from Israeli leaders, instead of telling them to behave. In this state of complete paralysis of the world order, it becomes incumbent upon the professional bodies which have managed to remain untainted by organised bribery and corruption to meaningfully demonstrate their rejection of the Israeli government’s criminality and savagery, which has crossed all limits.
