LAHORE: To review the cleanliness and development works, Commissioner Lahore Zaid bin Maqsood visited GT Road from Manawan to Jallu Mor Wagah here on Sunday.
DC Lahore Syed Musa Raza, CEO LWMC Babar Sahibdin, CO MCL Shahid Kathia and concerned AC were also present on this occasion. Commissioner inspected the speed and quality of ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction of GT Road, from Quaid-i-Azam Interchange Ring Road to Wagah Border, 13km road.
Officers of C&W and Punjab Highway Department gave on-spot briefing. Commissioner issued instructions and said that construction and maintenance of road was important for traffic flow, PHA should plan horticulture work, he also directed to make planning with Wasa for the best sewage mechanism of the road.
Commissioner also inspected cleanliness activities and sanitation from Manawan to Wagah. Commissioner Lahore also directed to convene a meeting on Monday (today) of all relevant departments for comprehensive planning of construction and rehabilitaion of Ring Road to Wagah Road.
