Sindh, a province synonymous with warm hospitality, has a long-standing reputation for rolling out the red carpet for its guests. This spirit of generosity is not limited to those residing within the province. However, a recent incident has left a blot on this reputation. A tourist cycling couple who had cycled through 10 countries without a hitch, fell prey to a robbery in broad daylight in Sindh’s Thatta district. This unfortunate event has sent shockwaves on social media, tarnishing the country's reputation globally.
The incident raises questions about the effectiveness of law enforcement in maintaining security. Regrettably, this is not an isolated incident. Crime has become a significant problem throughout the province. The robbery of the tourist couple has highlighted the need for improved security measures and ensuring that both residents and visitors feel safe and protected in Sindh.
