ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on January 17 will consider 19 nominations for appointment as additional judges of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
According to the JCP secretary, a meeting of the commission has been fixed for January 17 at 2pm in the conference room of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
The meeting would consider Supreme Court advocates Adnan Basharat, Syed Qamar Hussain Shah Sabzwari, Umer Aslam Khan, Inaam Ameen Minhas, Usman Ghani Rashid Cheema, Adnan Haider, Sultan Mazhar Sher Khan, Kashif Ali Malik, Danyal Ijaz, Babar Bilal, Hafeez Ullah Yaqub and Shahid Mehmood Khokhar; Islamabad Advocate-General Ayyaz Shaukat; Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar; District Sessions Judges Raja Jawad Abbas Hassan, Muhammad Azam Khan and Shahrukh Arjumand; and advocates Nudrat Bayan Majeed and Muhammad Abdul Rafeh.
It was stated that the CVs and other relevant documents of the nominees have been sent via respective email IDs.
It was further said that any member whose nominations have not been included or wrongly excluded may inform the JCP Secretariat within two days of the receipt of the letter.
