LAHORE : A solo show of paintings titled "Improvisation Through Nature" by Mariyam Idrees Sandhu was opened at Coopera Art Gallery on Saturday.
More than hundred pieces of vibrant artworks were hung on the walls of the gallery reflecting inspiration of the artist from the nature. About forty artworks were based on the concept of improvisation in nature, whereas, 66 small sized paintings portrayed the study of the birds. The impact of the exhibition was quite impressive and useful due to avant-garde approach of the artist.
Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masud inaugurated the exhibition and praised the work of the artist as well as efforts of the gallery to encourage the young talent. A large number of artists, students and art lovers were present at the inaugural ceremony. The exhibition will remain open for the public till January 6, 2025 from 10.30am to 6.00pm.
