Cold wave to persist

LAHORE : Partly cloudy and cold weather continued to prevail in the city here on Saturday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said a frontal weather system was present over upper parts of the country and likely to persist in upper parts till 06th January (morning). They predicted that rain (snow over hills) is expected in north Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Pothohar region, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir, Murree and Galiyat. Saturday’s lowest minimum temperature was recorded at Gupis where mercury dropped down to -06°C while in Lahore it was 5.8°C and maximum was 17.5°C.
