LAHORE : In the light of the vision of the Punjab government, a progress review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Wasa MD Ghufran Ahmed here on Saturday.
Detailed review of the desalination operation and complaint management system were reviewed in the meeting. All town directors of operations and other senior officers participated. MD Wasa instructed to strictly implement all desalination schedules. Instructions to involve public representatives in all desalination operations were also issued. The process of cleaning sewer lines should be accelerated so that drainage problems can be resolved immediately, MD Wasa said and added all desalination should be completed as per the schedules based on GIS.
MD Wasa directed all directors to ensure the quality of cleanliness within their limits and immediate action should be taken on complaints received from the public. Town Directors were further directed to conduct regular field visits to assess the ground realities and ensure prompt resolution of issues. An integrated system should be implemented to monitor the performance of desalination operations to improve transparency and quality of work, MD Wasa announced and said he will himself monitor the performance of the officers.A
