A man stabbed his wife to death during a fight in Orangi Town in the afternoon on Saturday and fled after the incident, according to the Mominabad police.
Police said the woman’s body bearing signs of torture was found at a one-room house near Street No. 14 in the town’s Farid Colony. The deceased was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where she was identified as Sana, 20, wife of Arif Khan.
SHO Shahbaz Yousuf said she was stabbed to death by her husband during a domestic dispute, after which he had fled. The couple also has a one-and-a-half-year-old child.
Police handed over the body to the heirs after due process. The SHO said an investigation into the incident is under way, as well as the search for the absconding husband.
