KARACHI: The Organising Committee of 68th DHA Karachi National Senior Hockey Championship underway here at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Stadium Saturday released the points table of the championship as well as the schedule of quarter-finals.
According to the points table, performance of the teams in different pools is as follows.
In Pool A, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) have shown excellent performance and won two matches securing 6 points hence they have been placed on top with a goal difference of +6. MPCL claimed second position, while Sindh stood third.
Wapda have won both of their matches in Pool B securing top slot with 6 points, while Rangers are in second place and Police in third.
In Pool C, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) played their best game and secured first position with 7 points and +14 goal difference. Customs and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) are second and third, respectively while Federal Territory grabbed fourth spot.
Navy proved their superiority with 7 points in Pool D, while Army stand second and Punjab secured third position. Balochistan are in fourth place.
Moreover special meetings comprising Tournament Director, umpires and technical officials were held in which emphasis was placed on further improvement in the quality of game.
