Weapons seized, 2 held in Shangla
ALPURI: The police claimed to have seized weapons and arrested two gun-runners during a routine checking at Shangla Top police post.
Police officials said that personnel of the police post were checking vehicles entering the district Shangla Top point.
During checking, the police recovered one MP-4 rifle, eight pistols, 200 rounds of ammunition and 22 magazines of various bores.
They added that the police arrested the suspects identified as Muhammad Zulfiqar, a resident of Rawalpindi, and Jahangraiz, aresident of Peshawar, had no permit for carrying the weapons.
A formal case was registered against both the accused at Alpuri Police Station and an investigation has been initiated.
Meanwhile, District Police Officer (DPO) Imran Khan directed Station House officer Alpuri Police Station Muhammad Arif Khan to thoroughly interrogate the suspects from every angle.
