The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) on Thursday announced that the city would experience a shortfall of 100 million gallons of water per day on January 5 due to K-Electric's (KE) annual maintenance work.
A spokesperson for the KWSC explained that the first phase of the KE’s 2024-25 maintenance work at the Dhabeji Pumping Station would take place on January 5, from 8am to 8pm. During this 12-hour period, the power supply to various feeders of the pumping station would be partially disrupted, leading to the reduced water supply.
