Peshawar face Sialkot in Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final from today

LAHORE: The stage is set for the final of the 68th Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Championship between Peshawar and Sialkot at the UBL Sports Complex in Karachi from Thursday (today).

In the five-day showdown, Sajid Khan will lead Peshawar while Amad Butt will captain Sialkot. Their journey to the final saw intense competition among six regional teams divided into three groups. Peshawar emerged as Group B toppers with three wins and two draws in five matches. In the triangular stage, they managed one win and one loss.

Sialkot, from Group C, showcased remarkable consistency, remaining unbeaten throughout the tournament. They secured three wins and two draws in the group stage, followed by a win and a draw in the triangular stage matches.

Peshawar: Sajid Khan (captain), Abuzar Tariq, Azam Khan, Hilal Khan, Israrullah (vice-captain), Maaz Sadaqat, Mehran Ibrahim, Mohammad Amir Khan, Mohammad Zulkifal, Nabi Gul, Niaz Khan, Sajjad Ibrahim, Waqar Ahmed, and Zubair Khan.

Sialkot: Amad Butt (captain), Abdul Rehman, Afzal Manzoor, Ahsan Hafeez Bhatti, Ali Raza, Ashir Mehmood, Awais Ali, Azan Awais, Fahad Jamil, Hamza Nazar, Mohammad Huraira (vice-captain), Mohsin Riaz, Mohammad Waleed, Shahzaib Bhatti, and Shoaib Akhtar Jr.
