LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering relocating the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 draft from Gwadar to Lahore, citing logistical challenges as the primary reason.
According to PCB sources, the draft is now expected to take place in Lahore on January 11. The PCB had initially announced Gwadar, a scenic coastal city, as the venue for the draft, aiming to promote cricket in the region. However, the complexities of organising the event there have prompted a reassessment.
The player retention process is scheduled for January 4, 2025. The league itself will run from April 7 to May 20, with prominent international cricketers set to participate. The PSL-10 draft pool continues to grow with the registration of high-profile international players. Notable additions are David Warner (Australia), Adam Milne (New Zealand). Other Kiwi stars in the draft include Tim Southee, Martin Guptill, Colin Munro, and Daryl Mitchell, alongside players from Australia, England, South Africa, West Indies, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe.
