Maryam vows more support for Turkish investors in Punjab
Turkish Consul General Durmesh Bastag appreciates Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s public welfare initiative
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz held a meeting with Turkish Consul General Durmesh Bastag on Tuesday to discuss measures for enhancing cooperation in trade, education, health, agriculture and tourism.
“The people of Türkiye have always supported Pakistan in difficult times, and we are grateful,” said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz during the meeting.
She described Türkiye as a great friend and brother of Pakistan and expressed her commitment to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.
She said, “The Punjab government will provide all possible facilities to Turkish investors. The one-window operation for Turkish business community will be made more efficient.”
Turkish Consul General Durmesh Bastag appreciated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s public welfare initiatives and said, “Türkiye attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan.We are ready to further expand cooperation with Punjab in various fields.”
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed authorities to implement strict security arrangements to ensure public safety during the New Year celebrations. She instructed officials to ensure foolproof security at public places, parks, shopping malls and other locations.
