398 get MBBS degrees at SIMS convocation

LAHORE: Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique attended the 8th convocation of Services Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) at Aiwan-e-Iqbal Tuesday as the chief guest, while Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Khawaja Imran Nazir attended the convocation as the guest of honour.

On this occasion, KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayaz, SIMS Principal Prof Zohra Khanum, Prof Rashid Latif Khan, Pro VC UHS Prof Nadia Naseem, Amir ud din Medical College Principal Prof Sardar Al-Freed Zafar, faculty members and students were present. During the convocation, 398 graduates of 2022 and 2023 were awarded MBBS degrees. SIMS Principal Prof Zohra Khanum administered the oath of service to humanity to the fresh graduates. KEMU Vice Chancellor Prof Mahmood Ayaz and others also spoke. Khawaja Salman Rafique also distributed gold medals, silver medals and certificates of appreciation among the high-achievers. Hijab Zara was declared the best graduate from the year 2022 with 16 medals, while Fatima Nadeem was declared the best graduate from the year 2023 with 19 medals.
