Computerised balloting of LDA’s residential plots conducted

LAHORE: The computerised balloting of five and seven marla residential plots in Tajpura, Jubilee Town, and Johar Town was conducted at Expo Centre here on Monday. Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin was the chief guest on this occasion.

The computerised balloting was conducted with the collaboration of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa and LDA DG Tahir Farooq were also present on the occasion.

The successful applicants will make payments in 12 equal installments over three years. The successful candidate can check their names on the LDA website lda.gop.pk. During his address, Bilal Yasin said that LDA, in collaboration with PITB, has conducted a fully transparent ballot. “LDA is actively working to provide affordable and quality housing projects to citizens under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz.” Bilal congratulated the lucky winners of the balloting. He added that the upcoming year would bring another gift from Maryam Nawaz under the "Apni Chhat Apna Ghar" programme, offering citizens affordable and high-quality housing schemes.

LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed said that LDA is performing exceptionally well among all development authorities. He highlighted that LDA has offered 88 plots in Johar Town, Jubilee Town, and Tajpura on a three-year easy installment plan.

Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa mentioned that a total of 1,201 successful applicants participated in the balloting and emphasised that LDA stands out among all development authorities in terms of performance. LDA DG Tahir Farooq explained that PITB ensured a fully transparent balloting process using pseudocode technique. A large number of citizens participated in the ballot.

Liberty Monument being repaired

On the instructions of PHA DG, the repair work on the monument at Liberty Roundabout is going on. PHA DG Muhammad Tahir Wattoo said that repairing and restoring the inactive fountains on the main highways were top priorities. The restoration work of the monument at Liberty Roundabout will be completed soon. Parks and Horticulture Authority is working day and night for a green and beautiful Lahore. According to the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the City of Lahore is being made beautiful.
