MULTAN: The Multan Electric Power Company (Mepco) will observe power shutdown due to ongoing development projects, completion of high tension, bifurcation of feeders and upgradation of distribution system in the South Punjab districts on Tuesday (today).
The power supply would remain suspended from the following feeders at various times on December 31 (Tuesday). The Mepco has asked the consumers to also get information about the power outage schedule from Mepco’s site www.mepco.com.pk.
The Mepco seven circles in South Punjab would affect from power shutdown schedule, including Multan, Bahawal, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar, Vehari and Rahimyar Khan circles.
The shutdown would be observed from 8am to 2pm from 11KV Abdali Road, Garden Town, Siddiqabad and Piran Ghaib feeders of Multan Circle, from 8am to 4pm from 11KV Budhla Sant and Qadirpur feeders, from 8am to 4pm from 11KV City 2 feeder of Khanewal Circle, from 8am AM to 2pm from 11KV Madiala and Chak 135 feeders, from 8am to 2pm from 11KV 11KV Aludaywali and Major Zaka Shaheed feeders of Muzaffargarh Circle from 8am to 2pm, 11KV Riaz Shah, Samtia and Mubarz Shaheed feeders from 8am to 4pm, 11KV MTM and MTM 1 feeders from 8:30am to 2:30pm, 11KV Wador, Nowshera, Chak Bazar, Hajipura and Shadan Lund feeders of DG Khan Circle from 8am to 4pm.
Similarly, the power suspension would be bserved from 11KV Millat Park and Noor Mahal feeders of Bahawalpur Circle from 8am to 2pm, 11KV Noorgarh, Kotla Qaimwala, Bukhari Wahan and Kahroor Pakka feeders from 8am to 4pm, 11KV City-II and Canal City feeders of Bahawalnagar Circle from 8am to 2pm, 11KV Qaiser Shaheed feeder from 8am to 8pm, from 11KV Ur Rehman, Saifan and Rattaba feeders of Vehari Circle from 8am to 4pm.
Likewise, the power shutdown would be observed from 11KV Koolwala Banglo feeder of Sahiwal Circle from 8am to 2pm, from 11KV Ahmed Yar, Al Aziz, Qudratullah and Abdullah Shah feeders from 8am to 4pm, from 11KV Sakhi Sarwar, Quaid Azam, Medical College Block, New Satellite Town, Ittihad Garden 1 and 2 Al Khair feeders of Rahimyar Khan circle from 8:30am to 2:30pm, from 11KV Qazi Zafar, Saline Zone and Musa Nawab feeders from 8am to 2pm and from 11KV Sheikh Wahan feeder from 8am to 4pm.
Meanwhile, an operation against electricity thieves and defaulters is underway in the Mepco region under the supervision of Mepco Chief Executive Officer Engineer Gul Muhammad Zahid. The Mepco teams have recovered Rs 35 million in a day. The Mepco teams caught another 65 stealing electricity through various methods.
