Mardan, Takhtbhai, Swat press clubs get new office-bearers

MARDAN/ TAKHTBAHI/MINGORA: The Mardan, Takhtbahi and Swat press clubs elected new office-bearers for the year 2025.Muhammad Riaz Mayar and Parveez Khan were elected unopposed as president and general secretary of Mardan Press Club.

The election proceedings were conducted by Imran Younas, election chairman and Falak Sher, under the supervision of District Bar Association (DBA) Mardan finance secretary Javed Iqbal advocate.

The other elected office-bearers include Hidayat-ur-Reham Hoti vice-president, Amir Shoaib joint secretary, and Parveez Shaheen finance secretary.In Takhtbhai Press Club, all the candidates were declared successful unopposed with Muslim Khan Sabir as president and Akbar Khan Yousafzai as general secretary.

The election committee for the 2025 elections of the Takhtbhai Press Club (registered) was chaired by senior journalist Murad Ali Murad along with Ibrahim Syed Yousafzai and Rafiullah Pamir. Similarly, Javed Alam Mohmand was chosen as joint secretary and Muhammad Shahid finance secretary.

Meanwhile, the elections for Swat Press Club, Swat Union of Journalists, and the governing body completed on Sunday.According to the results, Niaz Ahmad Khan was elected president while Syed Shahabuddin was chosen as president of the Swat Union of Journalists. Muhammad Shafiullah was elected as general secretary of Swat Press Club and Ismat Ali was chosen as general secretary of the union.

The election process for the newly elected cabinet was supervised by the election committee under the oversight of Fahim Naeem, president of the District Bar Association Swat along with members Hazrat Bilal Mamaji and Suleman Yousafzai.Javed Iqbal was elected as senior vice-president, Shaukat Ali VP, Murad Ali deputy general secretary, Adnan Bacha joint secretary, and Iftikhar Ali as finance secretary.
