LAHORE: On the special directives of the Punjab CM, 35 new posts were approved and notified for Gynecology Unit 3 of Lahore General Hospital.
The posts have also been approved by the Finance Department. Meanwhile, talking to reporters, Ameer Uddin Medical College Principal Prof Dr M. Al-Fareed Zafar said according to the government policy, the best possible treatment facilities are being provided to the LGH patients due to which the number of patients in every department is increasing day by day.
He said the Maternity & Child Department has been given a unique status because large number of women coming to this department for treatment. Prof Zafar said the government initiative has reflected its priority accorded to health sector.
Among the new posts one position of Professor of Grade 20 and Associate Professor of Grade 19 has been created, while 2 new posts of Assistant Professors, 5 of Senior Registrars, 11 of Medical Officers, 2 Head Nurses and 13 new Charge Nurses included. The principal said the government step will extend more benefit to patients especially females and new born babies.
