With the rise of emerging AI technologies, many students have become overly reliant on these tools, neglecting to engage in basic academic tasks. Students give prompts to AI like ChatGPT and simply submit the generated responses without reviewing or understanding them. As a result, they blindly trust the output, regardless of its quality.
This over-reliance on AI undermines the development of critical thinking and writing skills. There is an urgent need to raise awareness among students about how to use AI technology responsibly. Technology itself is not inherently bad; rather, it is how we choose to use it that determines its impact.
