Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has despatched relief items worth over Rs20 million to the people of the strife-hit area of Parachinar in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
The relief goods, including medicines, surgical items, milk for children and other essential supplies, were despatched via a helicopter.
JDC Foundation founder Zafar Abbas has been accompanying the relief goods. Additionally, ration bags and other necessary items have also been sent from Karachi to assist the people of Parachinar in this difficult time.
Also on the directives of the Sindh governor, Abbas has despatched liquid oxygen cylinders to the violence-hit Kurram Agency. The decision was made on reports of a severe oxygen shortage in hospitals, leading to an increase in fatalities in the strife-torn tribal area.
Each liquid oxygen cylinder is capable of compensating for the deficiency of 100 standard oxygen cylinders. Abbas stated that the cost of these liquid oxygen cylinders amounted to millions of rupees.
