LAHORE: Two detained dacoits were killed allegedly by the firing of their own accomplices in Raiwind police area.
According to police reports, the incident occurred on Sue-e-Asal Road near Jodhodhir village, Raiwind. The two dacoits, Asad and Safiullah, had been in the custody of the investigation police. They were being transported to Jodhodhir village for recovery operations when their unknown accomplices opened fire on the police in an attempt to free them.
During the exchange of gunfire, both Asad and Safiullah were killed by their own accomplices. The attackers managed to escape. The police immediately secured the area and shifted the bodies for a postmortem examination.
